Our garden has completely gone down the drain along with our level of cleanliness. How does having 1 child take up this much time and energy? Seriously, me and Erik will be home at the same time all day and the only thing we get done is the sweeping and maybe 5 or so dishes. Its unbelievable!
I have all these dreams of being a great mom who has a clean, organized and unique house that looks like some famous interior designer came and decorated, but at this speed we'll be lucky to have clean clothes to wear! I've heard it does get better and babies will eventually sleep more than 4 hours in a 24 hour period, so that gives me hope.
On a more positive note, Magnolia is changing little by little. Tomorrow she will be 6 weeks old officially-here are some changes we have seen thus far:
- Smiling a TON, especially in the morning.
- Giggling, which at first we thought she was crying but she was smiling :)
- Overall communicating more- Crying, laughing, smiling, frowning
- She notices things now, like the leaves in the tree's and the wind in her hair. She also notices when me or Erik leave her or come back.
- She can hold her head up on her own for a longer period of time. And she tries to use her legs stand up when we're holding her.
- In general she is sleeping more at night, 3 or 4 hours instead of 2 or 3.
- She also loves getting kisses (as seen below). :)
